Chapter 18: The order for reciting the psalms (paragraph 3)

It seems to me that a spirit of fidelity to practice pervades Benedict's sense of order -- just as it pervades the tradition of the mantra as taught by John Main.
John Main and the Oblate Community remind me of that “ . . . explicit teaching of the New Testament, namely that the call to sanctity is universal. . . . that the call to prayer, to deep prayer, is universal.” (“Word Into Silence” Kindle loc120). You, Abba, fire up my so often wimpy heart with your empowering love through these instruments of yours. I respond in poverty, embracing once more being your child, your little one.
